I don't think it's a cliche at all. But then again, I think he was actually the god's prophet...

To: Dver

o_o I had no idea he had wrote more than one! I guess I'll have to see which one my aunt has then! Thank you. :)

To: Sannion

Yeah, from what I read in the article in WiW, along with yours and Oinokhoe's thoughts on him, he has a very undeniable Dionysian connection that has intrigued me, but I never really gave it much thought until recently.

Thanks for the link, btw! :)

Actually, Morrison wrote a couple books of poetry, and they're definitely worth reading. Influenced me a lot in my beginnings with Dionysos.

One of my favorite lines from Morrison's poetry is this:

"The Lords have secret entrances and they know disguises. But they give themselves away in minor ways.Too much glint of light in the eye. A wrong gesture. Too long and curious a glance..."

He definitely has a strong Dionysian connection - something that he, himself, consciously cultivated - though it's also become a bit of a cliche to speak of him in that manner. On the other hand, things wouldn't be cliches if there wasn't some kernel of truth behind them. Here's an interesting article on Dionysos and Morrison:
